Well boogers, nothing like getting mentally and emotionally prepared and then having a change of plans.

Jax still hasn't made it to the vet. We get one shot to get him in the carrier and missed it this morning. He will not be corralled once he figures out what's going on. I'm scratched all to hell! Rhonda just went to the vet to get something to put in his food tomorrow morning to calm him down. Wish us luck!

Well, I know the feeling. Azidi was like that until my Animal Psychic explained why I had to take her to the vet. Then she was "ok"

Put on some heavy cloths and gloves too.. 
After all the stress from the neuter is over, put the carrier in a room where you and Jax spend time. Always leave it open, put toys in it, put snacks in it. Actively play with him by using whatever toy he likes best -- balls or feather wand -- and wiggle/roll it into the carrier. Let him catch the wand in there. Tell him "good boy" when he goes in it.
Getting him to the point where he associates the carrier with something pleasant will make it easier to get him in it in future. All of by chuckleheads liked to be swung in a soft carrier. They'd lie in it and we'd swing it between our legs. I always left the carrier out for long periods when they were babies and as they grew. Every couple of weeks, i'd store it away for a few weeks and bring it out again. Now, whenever I bring it in from the garage, they all fight to get in. Makes life a bit easier. And they don't get swung anymore. It was only fun for us when they were under 15 lbs. If we were to try it now, we'd have to hire a live in chiropractor
