I really don't either unless he wants to make sure that the stuff that we put in his food to calm him down for travel was completely out of his system. . I think he might have been conserned about over medication. It didn't calm him anyway. Acted just the opposite. Made him aggressive. I'm SO ready for this to be behind us.

Update, ,,,,,,,,,, Jax had his surgery this morning. Doc said that the ultrasound was inconclusive so he made the insision where he Thaught it was and nailed it. He said that Jax came through with flying colors! Except he's missing his marbles! Lol! He took the advice from U of Illinois on the anistesia. Started him off with a very lite dose of ketamine. Then changed to a cocktail injection. Said if he ever needed to sodate Jax again he will use the same. His vitals were strong and stable the whole time. He's going to keep him tonight as he wants to keep Jax in the cage so he won't try to jump. We go get him tomorrow morning. So glad it's over. WE ARE STRESSED OUT!

So glad he came through it so well... I know that you will miss him tonight, but you will certainly have time to make up for it when he gets home... We wish him a VERY QUICK recovery.

He may give you the cold shoulder for a couple hours to a day, but he will come around... Uh.. Well, Most of him will.... Since he lost a little wait in the hind section...

You can breathe now. He's going to be fine and his healing will be quick. You just have to convince him to keep a bit quiet for a few days (good luck with that).

SOOOO Happy Jax is fine. Bet he is just mopey for a couple of hours when he gets home.

Very glad to hear how well Jax fared with the surgery. I'm sure you're counting the minutes until he can come back home!

Short Jax update. He came home Saturday morning. Was a little lethargic and definitely not himself. He has been eating and drinking and using the litter box. He tried to jump in bed with us last night and didn't make it. So far today he has spent almost the entire day in the hiddie hole of the cat tree. I was worried about keeping him down the first few days but that's not a problem. I just hope that he starts to show some signs of feeling better soon. The little calico Zoey seems to be worried to. She runs by him all puffy tailed and he ignores her. She can't figure it out. Lol. See how it goes tomorrow.
