Sounds like she didn't have the smoothest of journeys to you...hoping a couple days' rest has brought her round and all is well!

Just a note, that when Dino came home from Sue's he was very distraught and made it well known from inside his carrier. Dooley was a little more subdued, but frightened inside the carrier and very cautious of any of the apes moves.

When they got home, Dino didn't take long to adjust, but Dooley was a different story. Dooley would hiss and wanted to keep his distance for a while before coming close. There were also a couple evenings that he just growled and wanted nothing to do with anyone. Later came to find out that it was big scary shadows on the wall. In all, except for the scary shadow, the upset kitten would turn the corner in less than 15 minutes.

Most of all, these kittens are leaving a very loving environment and loads of personal attention from the best of caretakers. Sue certainly does a great job with them and no surprise that some of them have a short acclimation period when arriving at their forever home.

I drank only red for decades...... There are two terrific wineries within a 3 minute drive of my house so I feel compelled to support the local economy.

By far the majority of kittens are able to settle in after a few days with time and patience. There is always that rare kitten that takes longer, but that just means he/she needs more of the same - time, patience, and loving. Please keep us posted as you are able.

Not sure what's going on but her brother Dooley gets super cranky when he gets tired. I started setting a play time alarm as anything beyond an hour and there is issues. Fortunately Dino has been more than patient with him and I need to do my part so that patience doesn't wear thin.

Well little Kinaya finally ate a bit last night and again this morning so hopefully we're over the hump with the eating issue. She continues to hide from us and puts up a real stink when we're anywhere close but we're making progress there too. She's showing
interest in her toys as we sit on the floor and play with them but has not interacted with any of them yet. We are taking it very slow and deliberate and I'm sure she'll be frolicking around soon. We're thinking the travel must have really thrown her for a loop. She is absolutely the most stunning specimen of a feline I've ever seen in person and can't wait to get to know our little 'Prima Naya'

Some kittens are very sensitive and she seems to be one of those kittens...am glad she is finally eating! She will be fine - you are giving her the time and patience she needs...

You are doing things right! I was really surprised that Una responded as positively as she did to flying out here. Some kittens-- it doesn't phase them and others, it just petrifies them and really-- there's no guessing who will respond how.
