He gets to come home over night because they feel he will be less stressed. They will cap off his iv but keep it in and wrapped so that tomorrow he can go back in the morning and have more fluids. She said he won't eat for her which is odd, even after his neuter he ate for them. But anyhow I'm nervous for him to be home with the iv. I swear they just don't get Savannah's. She said "we were really happy he didn't fight is the last temp, so that's good". No that's actually bad. He ALWAYS fights and bucks if you do something to him so I wonder why he has given up on that will. Temps all the way down now which makes me feel good. They had another doc look at the X-ray and that doc and her agree that they can't say for sure that what is in his intestines is only fecal but they are leaning towards that. However they will explore tomorrow if he isn't eating.

If it were me, I'd leave him at the vet. His temperature, while lower, still qualifies as a fever. If he gets worse, it's better for him to be where something can be done immediately rather than stressing him more by moving him back and forth. He'll be near people who can attend to his needs. You'll be less stressed by not watching him every second and worrying that every little twitch or meow might mean something bad.

They said he isn't considered "emergency" now so the emergency hospital won't take him. They don't have anyone staying in there facility over night tonight with the pets. His fever is gone she said. But he won't eat for her.

If you trust your vet, you should do whatever s/he recommends. I would ask if it's a good idea to try to get a cat with a possible impaction to eat. If it can't get through and he vomits it up, would it be better not to feed him until the intestinal issue is resolved?

Send him to the hospital. If you can't handle him completely (ie do whatever you need to him), you'll be less stressed leaving him in competent hands.

Sending good thoughts your way! Something like his happened with Zeddie when she was about 5 months. They gave her some pepto bismoly medicine and she had a big poop and all was well. But the xrays looked very similar and it was a day full of stress and worry

I dealt with something similar with my F2 Ziggy when he was about 7 months. He was acting really whacky and not himself so we took him to the eVet. X-rays showed he was completely backed up, lots of gas and possible foreign objects. The gave him fluids and an enema, watched him overnight and he was much better by morning. I picked him up to take him to his regular vet and stopped at home for a bit before the appt. He passed 2 large stools and was back to himself in a matter of minutes!! We still don't know what caused it, and it hasn't happened again. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.
