Welcome Rob, and congratulation on your new boy! I expect to hear lots of stories and see lots of pics of your adventures together :)

Well 2 days and 2 dead feather toys ... I'm sure the count would be much higher if didn't rotate them out so often ... So 1 of 2 things need to happen ... Either I find a cheaper place to buy feather toys, or he finds less expensive favorite toys lol =}

I've found the solution to our nation's energy problem. We need to find a way to bottle sv energy ... I'm swearing to you my kitten has enough energy to run a small city for a week !!!

I'm still in awe ... I've never seen such an incredible cat before ... These guys are simply amazing ...

One of the things that is a little challenging for me right now is staying ahead of the boredom factor, he is so smart and after about 5 mins (unless he is tearing apart feather toys) he is bout done with a toy. I rotate them often which helps. I think the problem is exacerbated by him being confined to my master bedroom during his quarantine period from my other pets.

I am getting such a kick out of reading your kitty escapades. Do not stress --once quarantine is over, he will be able to burn off his energy with your other pets, and if not, you'll just have to get another savannah:) . I just hope you survive quarantine. And once he reaches a year old, there's a chance that the frenetic energy will change to a lower level -- say, from mach 100,000,000 to mach 100,000.

Hello Rob and Zeus! I am so happy your new baby is home! I too remember my first headbutt December 8th like it was yesterday! That was the start of something special for sure.

Nailah isn't a huge talker BUT one of her favorite things to do is to have a conversation with the strings that hang down from the ceiling fan! LOL she will sit and chirp and rabble off an entire conversation (does not sound like meows, more like chattering) starring up at the ceiling fan! It's so funny! Looking forward to some of your videos of Zeus!

As for the feather toys.. I FEEL YA. Nailah and I go through a wand a week. Petco actually ran out of feather wands we were going through them so quickly. It became routine to pick her one up while I was out at the grocery store. After a regular play session, the wand is quickly a nub of its former self with feathers strewn about the living room! Careful with some of those feather toys though, Nailah actually ingested part of a feather toy once before I even knew it. Fortunately she was okay and no internal blockage, but definitely surprised me how quickly they devour those things!

Welcome to the community! Look forward to stories and pictures!
