Keeping Raw Cold?

We've always used the C20 for 5am feedings. But it is not savannah-proof. Sasha thinks it's his toy - he has found a way to open it and opens it the minute we put it out, doesn't matter of he's hungry or not. Now the food lid is open, but the food remains fresh thanks to the ice-pack.
Oh and I believe 'savannah-proofing' is just an urban legend !!

Thanks! That helps to know. Doesn't matter if it gets opened as long as it stays fresh. The others we have to practically beg to eat it. They can eat all they want. But if that's the case maybe we just would get freezer bowls instead of an automatic feeder.

He's always been on raw in the evening during the week and more often than that when we are home during the day. But a couple weeks ago we just took away all kibble (because our other 2 are kibble addicts and are refusing the raw) and started feeding raw twice a day. I do it more if I am home during the day but that isn't too often.

Depending on your daily routine, can you feed 3-4x per day -- morning, when you get home in the evening and 2-3x before bed?

Problem is I'm not usually home at all during the week and my other half does it all. I'm trying to make it easy so he doesn't just put the kibble down in the mornings.

Ahhh I see, you need a "other half" training kit then. I hear the failure rate is 100%:roflmao:

Uh...refrigerator?

You can use one of those thing to keep things cold? All this time I believed they were designed to keep things safe from Savannah's while distracting them with an ice and water dispenser.

Surely you jest?

Like Hina, I have used the smaller one and really like it... You really don't need the larger one and it is a pain...
