After the first couple of days, he acted like it was not there. It was stitched to his shoulder so he really had to stretch to get the end of it in his mouth, the bite marks showed he could do it. I had more of an issue with keeping Paka away from it. Paka gets fixated on things and will stalk it relentlessly and a couple of times he became fixated on the tube. I bought a dog tee shirt, cut the legs off, opened both sides and added a bit of velcro to reclose the sides. During the times Paka was after the tube, I just put the shirt on Kibeti and it was out of sight.
