Kitten Sneezing

Having battled a lifetime of sinus infections due to allergies, etc, I can tell you that what you described coming out of his nose does sound like indication of sinus infections. Also what Rascaldad mentioned about changing litter to a less dusty brand is a very good idea for the same reason.

And there's no reason to think cats can't have allergies just like we do... we used to have a Savannah that every time the tree blossomed out the front of our house that triggered my hayfever too, she'd start sneezing along with me.

We once took a cat into Rescue that the owner was complaining about chronic upper respiratory infection in, when I went to pick him up, I took one step inside the house and was sneezing and coughing. There were SO many scented plug-ins and candles etc! It was hard to breathe in there. I got the cat into the car and back to my home (with air purifiers and no carpets) and the cat hasn't sneezed since. He's been perfect in his new home for years now. Just it seems he's as sensitive to perfumes as I am!

My allergies used to be so bad that if anyone wearing more than a touch of chemical (as opposed to oil) based fragrance would trigger both allergies and asthma. Still can happen. One afternoon at work about a decade ago that very thing happened and while I was turning purple, unable to breath, and spasming while my body was trying to wretch out the problem, the woman whose bathtub load of perfume caused the event came to hover over me asking if she could help. Thank goodness her friend figured out what was going on and dragged her away. It took me two hours to recover enough to finish the work day.

I can clearly understand how bad it is for cats with allergies in an environment like the one you described.

Cats can have allergy
R nostril only congestion is not allergy
It gets better with antibiotic then comes back
WBC lymphocyte increase is not allergy
Nasal puss with no bacteria can viral or fungal
infection ...
There is no carpet in the downstairs house where the cats are. 80 % of the time.
Allergy can not double your white blood cells

So poor baby is happy and acts healthy
Now time will tell ... With more tests ..
