I tried the sweat scoop litter and would never use it again. We had a lot of tiny flying gnats from it and had to wash the trash cans daily. Never again. I now use the blue Tidy Cats litter, since it does not jam the automatic litter boxes. We also have used the Arm and Hammer, but that was jamming the auto litter boxes. Sue

I have a littler locker, I just scoop the litter out and into the litter locker. I have never had problems with gnats....just flies from the parrot cages -_-

hahaha...I have two litter robots and Cinny, Ixas and Zuri jump on it while it is working, so it stops and then it starts again and they do it again! But I would not trade those litter robots for anything...

and your cats don't mind the dome on it? It doesn't seem like there is much space in there

litter-robot.com - they are expensive...

Does the litter still track? I find that's still a big issue with the cat genie, even with the higher sidewalls that I got. I ended up getting the litter box mat you recommended because the other one I had was literally falling apart after less than a week and it wasn't catching any of the catgenie granules. I was looking at the litter robot when I was looking into getting an automated box, and while its a bit more expensive, I ultimately went with the CatGenie because it flushes right into my toilet.

I sure like the idea of litter robot or cat genie, but fear with my 3 either device would become a very expensive toy. I watched a few videos of the cat genie and I couldn't handle hearing that noise all the time.

The noise honestly isn't that bad. The cleaning cycle runs for about 20 minutes. I set mine to auto sensor. It's active for about 14 hours a day. It's in sleep mode at night time, which means that even if a cat uses it, it won't clean until sleep mode is finished. You can always start it up yourself while its in sleep mode though.

The litter robot is a tad noisy and I can shut it off at night as well, but....the kittens are getting big and use it all the time, so that mean that if they use it and it doesn't clean, they will step in each other's poop and/or urine :poop:
