Thanks for that Chris! I'm hoping that with the addition of a new kitten Dino will be less finicky about eating some things. Sue Armstrong mentioned that competition does a lot for the picky eaters, and if they get too fussy, you are probably feeding them too much. I haven't had any vomiting with my SVs unless they eat a plant. The one exception was fur on raw ground rabbit, and I'll never make that mistake again.

I'm thinking Dino might be developing an allergy to the chicken, although it might be the liver or hearts. I would start eliminating one item at a time to see if it clears up.

I think the right course is to do exactly that. The last time I made his food, I left the chicken hearts and livers whole so I could see if he wouldn't eat them to no avail. It looks like I still have somewhere between 15 and 20lbs of it left so I'll start with giving half of it away and feeding him some of what the kitten will be eating. Don't really want to add the extra variables right now, but in a couple weeks it will be a lot tougher to figure things out with the expected Dish Diving.

Oh and I remember Witchy saying that once a quarter or so she was giving something to her cats consuming raw for preventative measures. If anyone knows what that may be I'll give it a go as well.

He's fine NikkiA! Pretty convinced he is just having an issue with the chicken. I'll cut it back for a bit and next time I make it dial back the liver.

Just wanted to update this and came to the conclusion that the issue wasn't the chicken. We have also devised a system where we short feed him right before his meals roll over to chicken and we no longer have him turning up his nose at it. Went back through the basement to really disinfect stuff and clean it up more. Stuff like that makes me really long for being back in our own home.
