Well, getting another cat was going to be my first suggestion, and building an outdoor enclosure was going to be my second. His behavior sounds typical for a Savannah, which is why breeders are sometimes reluctant to sell to people who live in apartments. Most times there are no issues, but some seem to adjust better to the confined space than others.

I assume you have a variety of cat trees and scratching pads for him already. Is it possible to put up a small enclosure-type space on a patio or balcony so that he can go outside some of the time? The more variety of enrichment he has, the less mischief he is likely to get into, as you've obviously figured out by now...

Our boy loves his cat tunnels. He'll drop a ball in them, go around the other side and then sneak attack the ball. can go on a long time and the ones we have can be attached to together to make Ts, Hs or a long run.

I would also recommend dehydrated rabbit or ducks feet. They can chew on them a long time and flip them around as if they were some sort of prey. Our boy also likes ice cubes which he can be entertained with for a while, but may decide he wants to play fetch with them.

JP, do you go to a large chain pet store like Petsmart or Petco or is a smaller local one? And where are the duck feet located? In the cat treat section or elsewhere? I would love to give Rafiki something more appropriate to gnaw on other than my assorted body parts!

Sorry, I just saw this today and we go to both a large chain Pet Store, and what I refer to as the Hippy Pet Store who are smart enough to operate in the space the big boys aren't. The duck feet are located with the dog treats.

Our pet store guys keep telling us that those duck/chicken feet are just for dogs and not for cats.
