So that's why you said you don't usually feed the cats raw food, that you just give them boiled chicken, hum. Well, like what about beef parts, you know the parts us humans don't usually eat but they sell? Just lookin for the best kind of raw for the babies, since we've got feed me this stuff for the next 20 years. Just tryin to totally simplify our routine, ya know?

No- I'm actually 110% behind feeding raw. It's a great diet for your cats and they will love it. I use the boiled chicken as a basic treat- it also lets me keep an eye on appetites (if someone isn't eating it- it tells me they might have an upset tummy, etc). Boiled chicken has most of its nutritional value as a raw food taken away from boiling it.

For ME- I liked the prepackaged raw the best, but I am lazy ;) We did a big intensive session of grinding our own raw, but ALL of our cats would not eat it. Funny enough- one of our adult F1s snubbed it.

You don't, however, tend to have that issue when you start them off as babies. Most little ones will gladly eat raw and stick to it!

Ok, when you say prepackaged, are you talking about something other than the prepackaged raw meat at the super market?

Is there a way to mix in the needed supplements without grinding the food, allowing for more dental cleanliness they'd get from chewing?

Not sure I understand your question, Amanda...
I'm thinking she's asking how to feed the meaty bones with the vitamins versus mixing it into a ground mix?

I know I've fed raw where I've dusted it with the Primal Cal and whatnot so I'm sure you could just dust the meat, but I think you'd have more of a chance of a cat refusing.

Oh- and yeah, they aren't going to drink water with the vitamins in it- cats are pretty picky critters.
