Trish, what do you use, if not kitten formula?
I use the kitten glop recipe-- for some reason, I had a very strange reaction to KMR at one point (well, Sphynx kittens did) and I've been hesitant to use it ever since.

I know microwaving isn't ideal for warming up milk-- I'd theorize it's the same as breast milk and warming it up the way you do it is ideal, but often, I will put it in for 5-8 seconds and then feed my glop.

I dunno-- when I look at the glop, where I can see the literal ingredients with my own eyes and know what is in it-- I feel it's safer than the formula. Then again, guess I negate that by using the microwave, huh? Funny how we make our choices when raising babies.

I've also had bad outcomes with KMR and hate the stuff, but their Stage 2 worked really well for an older kitten that was weaning last year. I have always done well with Just Born, and have also used a simple goat's milk based recipe in the past but the kitten got diarrhea on it after a few days.

Let's face it, nothing is as good as mother's milk...

I don't know anything about feeding baby kittens or how the formula is made. If it's powder and u add milk. If your needing to add water maybe use coconut water. It's the closet thing to human mothers milk. The body recognizes it as mothers milk. Not sure if u could use it full strength. Durning wars when they would run out of blood for the wounded they would use this coconut water. Website is youngcoconuts.com not the dark coconuts in the markets those are old and hold no nutritional value. Anyway just a thought.

Forgot to add if using coconut water which is perfectly balanced, NO MICROWAVE. Because the coconut water is alive!
