If you remember Puss in Shrek, the way he would get people with his big eyes... Well That is what Kilifi does when she is hungery to get my attention. Oh and slow blinks too

LOL, Most of the Savannah's suffer from OCD... Elsa not only grooms herself, My feet, legs, arms, hands, and helps Jake with his grooming as well... She has been known to wake me up at 3AM cleaning my nose or hands... She is quite efficient at it...

As for doing it around feeding time, well in my experience there is nothing friendlier than a hungry Savannah. They will pour on their charm to get what they want. And it works every time. I get lots of cuddles and rubs when they are hungry. It's pretty funny.
Maybe I have abnormal Savannahs. Oni darts through the kitchen when I'm preparing their food--back and forth. Ziggy, well hangry fits him to a tee.

Only Jax, our fluffy feral mutt part Siamese rescue, is the sweetest when hungry. But, then, he's always hungry and always sweet...

I do admit both Savannahs love to groom us. Not excessively, and usually in conjunction with washing themselves.

Ziggy also likes to give fingers a very tender nibble while washing them. Due to his aggression issues we've been dissuading any nibbling, clawing, swatting or catching involving human body parts, but it's hard when it's so obviously amazingly tender.

Our kitties love to head bump, rub and kiss when it's feeding time. Bizley is teaching Jengo how to wake me up with loud toys and face licks. Then they pretend to want to cuddle - oh their trickery but lead me down to the food.

Both of my boys like to lick. Jengo doesn't do as much as he used to but still likes to give kisses. Bizley is always up for a nose bump and a little kissing. I just thought Savannah's were groomers. I've always looked at it is as being a part of their pack. Jengo over groomed when he arrived but nothing too awful. This morning both boys groomed for a long time before snuggling with me. I figure they ,ought do this around each other first when in close contact to maintain their own "scent" around each other, especially in close contact. Bizley will try to groom Jengo but that usually doesn't get him far.

It is pretty funny. Rayne just about trips us when she wants food and does it while we are trying to feed her. She is such a fun baby!

Kovu licks like a puppy. We have to tell him to stop. When he is being particularly obnoxious about it, he will stick his nose on you after being told to stop licking (kitty boogers, gross) and do these little, tiny micro licks. Sometimes I am tempted to put bitter apple on me! He is not an obsessive groomer. He has gotten better as he has gotten older, but would do the bare minimum most times. Nyah will hold him down to groom him!
