My cat is dying of FIP

May 13th 2012 God brought a tiny gorgeous bundle of joy into this world.

He knew that he would be my companion through the troubles I have been going through in my personal life.

February 18th 2013 God wanted Tank to come home so I sent him home.


No words can describe how I felt to hold him for his last moments. The sound of his loud purr fading away and his body going limp in my arms. It was a bittersweet end to his beautiful life. I can rest knowing he is back with God in kitty heaven along with all the kitties you have all loved and lost.

On the very bright side of things God also made chickens and my Tank loved his chicken!! So I made sure his last meal was the best.

I am just so sorry. I have tears in my eyes as I type. I lost my beloved F2 Tiger Lilly to this stupid disease a few years ago. I hate FIP. I am glad your breeder is being understanding. Good breeders should be understanding. It's a rough disease. I As a breeder, we need to know when this happens. We all care deeply about our kittens and when a buyer loses one, we grieve as well as we were the "birth parents" of the kitten. Again, I am crying right now for you.

As I was reading through all the posts through my tears I felt such love from all of you for AprilAnn and Tank and that is so BEAUTIFUL. My heart is also with you AprilAnn and little Tank and for those of us who have loved and lost our fur babies we feel your pain and send you big hugs.

April Ann, I'm so sorry. I never really know what to say in times like these. Though short lived, I'm glad that you and Tank were able to share each other's company. It sounds like you were the right companions for one another and he was very lucky to have such a loving mother such as yourself. My sincerest condolences. RIP Tank :'(

I have tears smearing my glasses as I read all these sad beautiful thoughts. It makes me hug my sweet Razi tighter as he lies across my lap. RIP Tank. You were well-loved.

Im so sorry. Our first Savannah Billy died of FIP. We decided to put him down as he wasn't going to make it much longer. We only had him for about 2 months. It was very hard we loved him very much. We now have 3 Savannah F7 kitties and love them soo much. I still think of Billy and get sad but try to remember I gave him a loving/caring home before he passed away. There isn't much more then that you can do. And that is what your pets notice your love and care for them so even if there sick they are happy with the love you give them. Hope it goes well for you.
