Tilly is right in there at the moment, she is an F5 and 1 year 7 months old.She was poorly when kitten but we sorted it out, poorly again last February but got much better and had a great summer.
She is having lots of biopsies this afternoon to make sure it is FIP. Apparently she is a very unusual case that is why they don't want to give up on the tests yet.
Personally I think she is very ill and FIP and will make a decision tomorrow.
Lets hope all those tests results will help some other cats in the future...
Difficult moments !

I'm so sorry, Frances, it is very hard to make a decision when the diagnosis is so murky. I had a very ill cat late last year and they did not have a diagnosis (ruled out lots of things)... my advice is to look into your Tilly's eyes. Cats will tell you if they have had enough and are ready to leave. We just need to be brave enough to get the message... when I did this with Zari she told me she wanted to fight. She's still with us, with still an uncertain prognosis but we've gotten her to a state of good quality of life and that's so important. With my girl that had dry FIP, her eyes told me she'd suffered enough and was ready to go, it broke my heart. Big hugs to you on a very difficult decision.

I am going there tomorrow.
I will see what she says!
They have not done half the tests because she was hyperventilating and had to wake her up.
They did the eye biopsy, but how long before we know the results ,it is send to Glasgow .
Spleen is enlarged.
I think That is enough of a life for her ,don't you?
Must be strong tomorrow and make the right step for her.
Won't be able to take her home for a night because of her eye and complication and could be very traumatic, I think.
Maybe we are pushing everything too far now days,no?
Thanks so much for your replies ,it helps lots somewhere.

I think that YOU are the only one that can make that call, Frances, and I know it is hard.

in terms of pushing things, I fought with Zari for quite some weeks to get her better to the point we can consider her stable for now for some months... but as I said, Zari made it clear she wanted to fight. I do agree with not letting them suffer unnecessarily, euthanasia can be such a kind gift when there is no hope and they are in pain. It's a judgment call we have to make, and part of our responsibility as pet owners too.

I agree with Brigitte. The animal is your best guide in how to proceed. Some want to fight and some are in too much pain or too miserable. You will have to interpret as best you can. I think you will know which is right when the time comes.
