So Tilly is back home since Friday afternoon.
Nursing her. Making her swallow all her pills is the battle but we managed so far.
She knows she is at home now and relaxed. She was so stressed on Friday and so lost !
She asks for food in the morning, crying cry ! But does not eat much. She stays next to the Aga on her bed during the day and in her little hut in the bedroom at night.
We are waiting for results from the biopsy of the eye. It could take a week or more.It has been send to Liverpool.Unfortunately the lab won't perform the pathology unless they get more cases to analyse. (a bit shocking ,no?)
We still don't know if the inflammation of the nose cavity is bacterial or viral. (Coronavirus )
So quite a few tests still pending.
They really think it is FIP but need to make sure it is not Lymphoma.
I have not been able to take her temperature. She looks a bit better but today her right eye or underneath looks a bit swollen and the eye is running a bit.
Appointment at the vet tomorrow at 12.
The sample for PK Deficiency came back ,she is a carier only. Should I mention this to her breeder? Her brother is now a Stud in their cattery...
Should I mention she is sick now as well? I know they will be very defensive as they were when she had a runny tummy when she was 4 month old.
All the team in hospital have been very supportive, as our vet .He was so please I took her home.
The team thinks Tilly came across Coronavirus at a young age and fighting with diarrhoea her cells did not make it through.
So , that is were we are now.
Thanks again it is great to be able to communicate with you and get some support.
I have been reading lots of things on the web .
The info from Niels.c.Pedersen and Catvirus.com from Doctor A.Addie were very helpful to understand the disease and to help which direction to go.
