Big hugs to you frances. Frankly, if you and the vets are convinced that the outcome will be the same regardless of what the biopsy comes back as, I would not add to her discomfort by forcing meds on her that are difficult for her to take. If they think the antibiotics could truly make a difference then I would try to soldier on. BTW, clindamycin treats different infections than amoxicillin so one is not considered equivalent to the other.

the Toxoplasma results are still pending, believe it or not!
If that cat was not talking in the morning ,I would put her to sleep!
But she still cries for food and comfort!
When do you stop?
Although it will be coming soon, I thinkl.

I can not believe!
I was thinking ok Wednesday late afternoon we will go and put her to sleep with my 2 boys being with us.
Suddenly , who was strolling downstairs in the kitchen from my bedroom?
Tilly crying ...for food!
Here we go! Ah,I keep changing my mind all the time since a week ago!

My 2 cents...it sounds like Tilly is not ready to call it a day. If she is crying for food, she still wants to fight.
I agree with the compounding. I had to do that for my Himy Thimbu because she was only 5 lbs and all the meds came in too large of a dosage. Does Tilly like tuna by any chance? Towards the end with Thimbu, I would puree a can of tuna with a cup of filtered water. It was very liquidy so it helped hydrate her. The tuna was still strong in flavor and help camoflage the meds. Or if it was smaller, a pill pocket might work.

frances, I am so sorry for everything you and Tilly are going through...you are doing a wonderful job though - keep it up!

Sometimes I get the medication made into a transdermal med...this is a really good way to get medication into the system as you just put it on the inside of the ear flap...

I hope you get some answers soon, but it really seems like Tilly is not ready to go anywhere...she may just need the right combo of meds to get well!

This is always a heart breaking situation, I am so sorry you both are having to go through this. I lost my 6month old Sasha last week to wet FIP, she is the first Savannah I have ever owned and I had been wanting one for over 10 years :-( this is never something easy to go through, prayers are with you both
