Sorry I can't remember, have you had a barium swallow done on Zeddie to look for blockage or partial blockage? I remember hearing of a case where a cat had issues with vomiting for years - owner had her checked by the vet multiple times, they could never find anything wrong and even recommended euthanization at one point. It was I believe over 10 years later that the cat vomited up a necklace that the owner had 'lost' those many years ago. Of course she never tied the missing necklace to her cat - and the cat has been completely healthy ever since.

We haven't done a barium swallow, but we have done multiple X-rays and an Ultrasound. How did the necklace go 10 years without being detected from an X-ray or anything?!

You are giving her grapes? Those are toxic to cats!

No! Lol, that was for my parrot. No, no Zeddie is on a strict turkey diet at the moment. We are doing an elimination diet. The only treats she gets is a little bit of turkey heart at night

Sounds like a barium swallow may be necessary at some point...

I will talk to my vet about it on Monday. I'm surprised they haven't mentioned anything about it yet. They led me to believe that the only thing left to do was a biopsy, and we really aren't ready for that

I have no idea how the necklace went undetected all those years - it is a mystery to the owner and their vet!

Poor Trouba still won't eat. I'm torn...if I feed her canned I will destroy the elimination diet we have been working on...3 months to get everything out of her system and see if she is allergic. We have done 1 month. But I have a feeling she isn't eating the turkey because of how upset her stomach was. I guess I will fast her until tomorrow and maybe try something else then? Its so hard to do whats best for your furbies sometimes isn't it?

I have found it almost impossible to stick to an elimination diet - that cats/kittens I have tried this on are fussy eaters and would rather go on hunger strikes than to eat something they don't want. :(

I was afraid something like this would happen. I have been lucky because turkey is Zeddie's favorite meat. The only other meat she will eat is lamb. I am afraid to switch her, but obviously its better than her not eating at all. I guess we will just have to start the 3 months over and try lamb...and if the vomiting continues switch back to turkey after 3 months.
