But wouldn't the larger cat be able to jump over? I have a baby enclosure I use for the bunnies as a baby gate.

Yes, I can't imagine the baby gate working too well. I use baby gates here with my kitten room but it only slows them down doesn't stop them...

We were so lucky Wiggles isn't a jumper, Jengo is but he wasn't going to. We also put Wiggles on his leash early on. Sight was great for them. You can stack them or do what we did and tape cardboard over the top, lol.

So I caved and let them meet because neither would shut up about it. Loki and pooty kept clawing at the door trying to run out and meet. So after vet checkup and checked for felv and fiv bloodwork everything came back clear. I exchanged rooms for one night and let them meet today. Friends at first sight almost. both sniffed aloooot. There was some chasing, pooty growled at first, separated for a bit then when it was on his terms they got along fantastically. They are grooming each other as I type this. Spent all day together just about the only problem I had was Loki wanting to pounce on pooty and me not wanting him to get hurt. They played tag and soccer with each other. And are currently spooning on my bed. No fights no more growling. Loki seems to be the submissive one and pooty is definately more of a dominant personality. No litter problems or marking problems as of yet. Loki still is due to get fixed. everyone seems happy and that makes me happy!! will continue with a "quarantine" and slowly expand his space as time goes on as I did with Loki. I'm going to keep him confined to either my room and the spare room plus hallway in between for another week then move the gate out as he gets comfortable.

By the way I make the old woman noise and grunt when I pickup Loki now. Pain in my back. Who know 14lbs of kitty could be so heavy haha. In comparison to kitten I am reminded how much of a big boy he is.

Bekki, that's fantastic. Can I send Oni your way for a couple of weeks? ;-)

That said, there are noticeable improvements. It's just very slow.
