New Breed of Cat

I think the Lykoi are really unique looking cats, and I had the pleasure of meeting (and petting!) a few at the Annual last year :) When I heard that Lykoi cats were in the show hall, I got all weak-kneed and excited...much like I did when I first heard about Savannahs, lol.

They do seem to be very sweet and loving cats and I was impressed at how diligently the breeders who were there are proceeding with establishing this breed in regards to health and diversity in the lines. The Lykoi's story of origin is so interesting and fascinating to me; I'd love one someday as a show alter, too :)

The hair was more coarse than most cats, but soft, too. Their skin is warm. Forgot to put that in... :uh oh:

Hahaha- look at all of the Savannah peeps loving on the Lykoi at the Annual! It's kinda cool since we've been through all of the PNB/ANB and are now in CH to support new breeds :)

Nah, no offense taken. I've heard a lot with the Sphynx and now, I've heard a lot about the Lykoi- they are pretty oddball looking! But supposedly, they are super friendly and outgoing and you gotta admit- you'd probably end up laughing a lot with one around.

I didn't care for the Sphynx either when all I had to go on was pictures or tv. I went to check one out at my first cat show and was amazed at how beautiful the cat was. If I didn't have three SV and plans of breeding them in the next couple of years, I would be own by a Sphynx by now.

Hahaha- yes, that is the Sphynx bug! Another thing is people think they'll feel rubbery- they don't!

I love the Sphynx breed - it was actually one of the breeds I thought about before the Savannah cat.
