Hi everyone! I am the owner of two 5y/o F7 Savannah brothers (same litter), a black stray cat, and recently we've taken in a 5y/o male F4 Savannah (came from same breeder, but different litter). All 4 cats are neutered males and NOT declawed. The F4 (simba) came from a lady who was having health problems and couldn't be around her pets anymore so we decided to add him to our family. He was SUPER sweet when we arrived at his home to meet him and bring him to our house. The minute we got him home (nov. 19) he was so aggressive and has been. His previous owner only fed him Iam's dry food. To try to win his heart over we have been giving him small spoonfulls of canned food. I'm not sure if it's the combo of 1)new house/owners 2) being around other cats 3)canned food but he has had diarrhea for the 2 weeks we've had him. Most times is quarter size amount, but he only uses his litter box to urinate and sometimes for #2. Other times it's just wherever he is.. I'm not sure if maybe he's confused and his stomach is hurting? (The litter being used is the litter his owner sent with him-fresh step w/ febreeze) I tried to take him to the vet last Monday but to no avail. He wedged himself in my closet and under the bed and when I finally was able to pet him, he figured out what was going on once he saw his carrier and he tore my arm up. I do not blame him for being aggressive, but this diarreah needs to end. Could this be causing his aggression? (Note- he is not ALWAYS aggressive, he sometimes will let us pet him without growls, hisses, or swats) he has been eating/drinking water fine other than the fact he refuses to eat dry food anymore. He only wants canned food now. We have started putting small amounts of cat probiotics in his food for the past 4 days with no change in bowel movements. A vet trip is out of the question at the moment since he doesn't trust us enough to pick him up and I'm afraid rounding him up would only stress and traumatized him more.. (side note- he has been introduced to the other 3 cats and is getting along fairly. They don't fight, but there's a lot of trash talk going on) any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
