Savannah Kitten
Hi all,

Recently became part of the forum. We have two Bengals one is 12 yrs old and the other one is 6yrs old, now we have added an F4 Savannah boy (Romeo) he is 15 weeks old. He is still in the quarantine room, does not trust us yet. When I try to pet him he hisses but I touch him anyway, our breeder sees you have to let him know that you are in control and that hissing won't do anything, so I guess is just a matter of time and lots of patience and sweet talking.

Any advice is much appreciated, thank you. Oh, btw Romeo eats a lot! way more than our Bengals, we feed them raw. Thank all and is great to be here, I have read a lot of interesting things

Hi!

I am new to this forum as well. I joined because I had some Savannah Cat questions and I just love to talk about cats.

Congrats on your F4 male! Back in April, I brought home a Cheetoh that was meant to be a queen but could not deliver. All of her experiences prior to us were negative, therefore she did not trust humans. She lived in unfavorable circumstances for over a year until it was discovered that she was sterile and then she was essentially thrown away. Your little guy is only 15 weeks, so you should have an easier time.

My main suggestion is NOT to force a pet if your F4 does not want it. He will come to you when he is ready.

For one of my college courses, I had to create a blog. I truly believe that one of my posts could help you.
This is the link.

Best of luck!
