New Kitten came home with me today.

It took a bit to get him to calm down so I could trim the little slicers. Then the trimmer I had for the
boys was just too big for his little feet. I did not want him to come up missing any digits. So I went looking
in the drawers for the small scissor styld that I had for the boys early on. I did his front ones than the rear
the next day. 2 moreweeks of this is going to make him a cranky boy. I have been changing toys so he has
something new every now and then. I want to see if I can get him to learn some simple tricks while he is stuck
in there. Cat training is not something I have really done before. Most of it was the cats training ME.

Lmao, always! I've only trained my ragdoll to sit and sit pretty. My Savannah looked at me as though I'd lost it when I tried with him.

Keep up with the clippers and even baths. Both my cats don't mind either as they were put through it early on. I always give treats afterwards so they know the prize.

Tough two weeks for the Lil guy, what a great time for bonding! Sounds like you are an attentive cat parent and happy you have the new one home :)

It's about time for baths around here. Bella is way over due. Xander's first
bath is going to be wild. That boy has some lungs and he knows how to use
them. I guess I will just say what for a few days.

Love him! He is just precious! I have always had cats, but never bath them. Interesting to read on here that people bath their cats.

It's hard keeping Bella out of a tube full of water. Also the sink, and the water dish and the 2 fountains.

Savannah baths don't surprise me at all, ours don't play in water, but they aren't fazed by it at all like all my DHS cats were - lol I wish squirting them worked!

Bella or the boys when it came to a spray botttle took quit a few squarts to get the idea across.
Somehow I think with Xander that it won't be as much of an issue.

He found the top of the cabinets in the bathroom today. Not too high just sink level.
The funny thing was when I told him to get down he would.

Just a weigh in Xander was 2Lb 1.6oz and today he is 2Lb 10.2oz
So he is gaining weight.

He does not seem to be bothered by the sounds from outside and
Bella is calm but hanging out in my room. We will see how the night
goes because it tends to get like a war zone here the closer to dark it gets.

Everyone have a safe 4th of July.

Well Bella is tolerating having Xander in the same room in my arms. Just a little hissing and then she settles down.
Right after he go back to his space I make sure that I do something for her like a treat or a scratch and let her sniff.
Here ears stay up and no tail flicking like with an upset cat. I am just going to take it slow.

Bella went downstairs and and I took Xander into my room and let him snoop around. I had gone around and made it
kitten safe first. That way he can't get under the bed or up into the head board from under the bed. It's a water bed
and has a center space that I have blocked off do to the boys getting under and being a major pain to get to come out.
I did a little treat training. He picked up on that fast. And speaking of fast that little boy can move fast. That and jump
off my shoulders to the center of the bed from 2 feet away. I was sitting in the chair when he did that so I know to watch
out for that response any time I have him off the floor. Don't want any broken bones.

BTW Xander loved to watch anything on the computer monitor that is moving. Are there any cat games I can get for
myiPad that he can watch/play with?
