Sorry I've been MIA lately, just been super busy with life. But today I got a chance to measure and weigh Shelby. He's been going through a growth spurt lately and wow has he grown!

Height at front shoulder: Two hairs shy of 12" haha
Length, base of neck to base of tail: 15"
weight: 8.2 lbs

Still has the same personality and is just as sweet as ever. People can't believe how good he is. He's totally a lap kitty, let's me (or anyone for that matter lol) hold him like a baby when were out and while he's in the car, he just sits on my lap while I drive, doesn't try to roam around the car or anything. I count my blessings every day, he is such a good kitty :)

Glad to hear it's a family trait :D I cant put into words how much joy and fun he brings me. I'm trying to train him to get into the water by using rubber duckies in about an inch of water. He's interested, but still apprehensive about actually getting into the tub. Anyone have any suggestions?

Try just a tiny bit of water for a few days. Gradually add a little more..once is entering the tub on his own. If he were mine;>) LOL I would throw in a frozen, cooked shrimp after allowing him to eat one;>)This way he will learn to fish;>) LOL

Mine never needed to be coaxed into the water but to add to their enrichment, I would occasionally buy some feeder fish to add to the tub. Wow. Talk about a good time. It was a bit difficult for me to watch the fish being preyed upon (aka tortured) by the cats but seeing the fun they had with fish somewhat compensated. Scott, I don't know if you've seen these pics of my Juba who is a jacuzzi addict. Be careful what you wish for when it comes to water lovin' cats, you may never bathe alone again.;)

Deborah, thanks for posting those pix of Juba! They are both awesome and hilarious, love them lol. Do you allow Juba to eat the fish? I just worry about fishbourne diseases. I'll try it with some other inexpensive fish, feeders often carry diseases so I'd be worried to use feeder gold fish even though they probably wouldn't be transferable, I'm just paranoid about things like that lol. I'm probably just over thinking but that's the business I'm in, so I have access to many different types of fish that I'd feel more comfortable using. I totally hear ya about being careful what I wish for lol It wasn't long after I taught Shelby how to jump into my arms, that he decided to start jumping onto me unexpectedly, even onto my back when I was turned around. Now it's not uncommon for me to be sitting watching tv and bam cat on shoulder...bending over to tie my shoes to go to work and thunk, cat on back...getting out of shower drying myself off and OUCH cat with sharp claws on wet bare skin!

You can use any fish you feel comfortable with Scott. I didn't know about diseases in goldfish feeders. There are likely parasites that could transfer to cats. I worm my guys 3x per year in any case because they're on a whole prey diet. The cats choose not to eat the fish preferring instead to reduce them to pulpy messes for me to clean up.:(
