This is going to be a long term project. Be patient with him, if you push it will put you back at square one (or backwards). You could also try something like Nutricalm or Rescue Remedy to help alleviate some of his fear.

Keep doing what you're doing and don't force anything on him but spend as much time in his isolation room as you can. When he is comfortable, you will know when to slightly push his boundaries by his body language.

My first F2 took several months before he trusted me and eventually became my shadow. 2 month ago, we took in another F2 male from SV rescue and are still working with him. It just takes time and patience. I also have found food and play has been the best way to gain his trust.

With all my sv's, they are all very loving, but, it has to be their idea, or at least convinced that it was.

Well, we have taken a slight step backwards. We took him to be neutered on Friday. He basically turned into a "Feral" while at the vet's. They did the surgery, but he is not a happy camper. Poor guy. This is why socialization is so important during the early months. We'll get him there. It's just going to take lots of time and patience.
