Did I understand you to say Koda only peed twice in 24 hours? Are the poops formed but not hard or liquid? Moving is stressful, water changes taste from county to county can't help that...but if he is not eating any better by now get a small bag of the "food" they were feeding him & then take BABY STEPS to change it...we got Eddie a water fountain he loved, until he broke the second one...now he uses a kitchen faucet dripping into a bowl in the sink...cheaper on his bank account & easier to pick up the pieces. He has dragged it out of the sink a few times now to carry around the house. Enjoy your new kitten while keeping changes to a minimum will enhance the experience of Savanndalism for all of you.

He is doing 100% better now! Active little guy. he saw the vet yesterday we got him microchipped and the vet gave him a clean bill of health. Though they were very pushy on having him neutered that day which was irritating as we were just there for our first check up.we did change his food he went from not eating much at all to eating 1 cup a day (on blue wilderness kitten). We had to get him microchipped since he ran out the door when we were walking out bc he wanted to go with us (he doesn't like to be home alone).
Good to hear he is better... If he has a collar, you may want to get him a petid tag and there is also a device known as Loc8tor that allows you to track him if he gets loose, however, if he is too small, it may be difficult for him..

If he wears a walking harness you could put the Loc8tor on it...Eddie gets "dressed" 
in the morning before his slaves...he wears his JOYkATZ walking jacket (he's almost ready for a LARGE!) all day long & it has the loc8tor attached to it. I trained Trooper the same way for my oldest son. I actually put the loc8tor on the dog & had my son walk him so I could "track" him around the village...through the barn, in a neighbors home, sitting on my deck...now i just need a mini cam

Clearly he is back to 'normal', that is for a Savannah! Please be careful with him darting out the door - the only time I've heard of microchips being useful is to identify the dead carcass once brought into the pound. The best way ensure his safety is to train him not to dart out the door!
You can do this a couple of ways - positive reinforcement by clicker training him to sit on his 'spot' - choose a place near the door and use a mat or other item that he can identify as his own. Teach him to stay by clicking and rewarding him with a treat when he stays. If that doesn't work you can try negative reinforcement - you or your hubby stand on the other side of the door with a weed blower, vacuum, or even hair dryer (if the cord can reach) and every time he peeps out the door turn it on. This is pretty darned effective, if you are not adverse to using negative reinforcement with your kitty.

Our kids are carried across the threshold like little brides whenever they go out on an "approved" outing. They know that darting out the door or going across that threshold on their own for any reason will result in them being dumped uncerimoniously back in the house and no outdoor time!

Microchips are useful in more ways than identifying carcasses. We just had a recent news story of a cat that wandered into a news reporter's yard. When trapped, his microchip lead directly to the cat's owner so it could be reunited.
We in Rescue hear of many cases where microchips have helped. It's not foolproof, it's not GPS enabled, but it is a simple way to make sure if someone wants to find the owner of the cat they can

As mentioned, if leash walking carry them...or I know some that teach their cat to go into a crate that they then take outside... this has the added bonus of giving the cat a good association with crates... making it easier to crate for other reasons.
