Just make sure not to store anything interesting in the bottom cabinets unless they can be secured ... paper towels, cat food bags, the kitchen trash ...

Those last days waiting can seem like weeks! It can be hard to keep yourself busy and not thinking about the upcoming kitten arrival day

Oh no! The breeder has just emailed me telling me that she noticed the kittens have loose stools and she would like to postpone pickup until she can have the vet check them out. . The problem is we drove up 3 hours and are staying the night in Kansas City so we can pick her up first thing in the morning. I don't know what to do now... If it's just a little problem and I need to give antibiotics I have no problem doing that.....ahh I hope it's not something really bad!

well, all my cats are like kids to me, seriously. But would use her vet for sure. Contact breeder informing of your being there. Most likely not serious, but contact as soon as possible. Heck, do some Christmas shopping and take an extra day if warranted. Otherwise it's Houston, we have a problem, establish and resume new countdown.

Thank you dice! I could definitely do a little shopping and oh yes I will still visit my kitten and hopefully find out how long it will be until she could get stool samples back from the vet.
Admin, the kitten is 12 weeks old. Now on top of my anxiousness I am worried for her about the loose stools. I immediately thought 'omg what if it's FIP' since I have a huge fear about that. I am very thankful though for my breeder telling me this even though it is the day before pickup. It shows me she cares about her kittens and doesn't want to give me a sick one.

At that age, kit is going through shifts in diet change, litter mates disappearing, seasonal changes, could be just a simple accumulation of many things.
Have to laugh, speaking of chit, have six boxes throughout the townhouse, and I always know who's chit I'm scooping up, and If Sam's been eating to much, or has been eating things he shouldn't.
Although I always can conjure up the worst scenario in me head, I always try to think more of the positive, and more likely odds. Odds are, likely it's just chit, purrticular bad chit, but still, just chit. just saying.
