Update: Prototype replacement parts arrive 10/24. If they're good, production replacements ship by ocean freight (slow boat from x) on 10/30 and shipments to us start mid to late November.

To give you some idea of the magnitude of the task of replacing the parts, here's Cat Wheels waiting for new parts in the California warehouse:

And that's not all of them...my count is that 1,791 wheels were ordered via Kickstarter. There's maybe 1,560 in the picture.

Oh brother! Funny I called and talked to them 2 days ago. I asked them if I placed an order now when could I expect delivery she said first part of November. Hum????

But the point is they're working their butts off fixing this problem. They're in the midst of opening every box and removing the defective pieces so when they get the replacements they can drop them in each box, tape it up, and get them out as quickly as possible.

Sounds like a lot more waiting than work, but I'm glad they did the right thing and didn't leave it to the customer to beat it together with a rubber mallet.
