Pet Insurance

what I like about pet insurance is that if something goes drastically wrong, i dont have to worry or bankrupt myself since I will always take care of my cats, no matter what.

Imagine if I had to lay out $6000 for Taj? I would have, of course, but...

I wish I had insurance on my Rottweiler. He got hip dysplasia so bad that by the time he was 11 months old he had to have surgery or get put to sleep... because he could no longer walk. Then on top of that, chronic ear infections, and a lifetime of water therapy, pain killers, special diet and supplements... then kidney failure took him, it got too expensive to keep him going :( I wish finances hadn't ended his life.

I'm sorry, Alisha!!! I would never not have pet insurance again..I didn't know about ti until i got Taj. Rocky was very sick in the end and $5000 later (out of my pocket), I put him out of his pain :(

:( I'm sorry to hear that. Poor Rotties always have issues after about 5 years of age. Most end up with at least arthritis if not more.

My poor boy only made it to just a month after his 3rd birthday.

He was way too young. I'm really sorry for your loss.

I guess I just always have the suspicion that if I were in that position, the insurance company would arbitrarily deny my pet whatever he needed. I can't imagine them covering brain cancer, for instance. I just don't trust the insurance machine.

:(

But if that were true, they would have already denied me, since Taj will needs meds for the rest of his life.
