Photo Contest Cancelled

Geez that's really upsetting. I made sure to log on today to finish casting the rest of my votes today as I only cast a couple and nowhere near 15 yet.

I personally hate cheaters with a passion even if its the smallest thing like in card games or board games. There's just no point and no honor in it. And this is something even with no point in cheating . Personally if I had the power for those that were dishonest I would pull their photos out of the contest for not following contest rules and be disqualified. Everyone's fun is now ruined.

VERY disappointing indeed. I think it's wonderful that people are passionate about their Savannahs, I mean who doesn't think theirs is the best one ever born, right? However, there is no place for such behavior here and those that can't play fair may soon find they won't have the privilege of participating on this forum at all.

Backing up for a second, I think that this behavior is very prevalent for any internet photo contest. It sucks, the trap was fallen into and the perpetrators I'm sure already feel bad enough.

Before we go about piling on I think it's healthier for all involved to focus on the solutions as opposed to the problem.

This goes back to cheaters never win...In this case it also caused everyone to lose...time , energy and faith in people you should be able to trust. If this was about a huge sum of money, one would have to suspect this type of dishonesty(not that it shou;d make any difference) BUT REALLY....OVER A PICTURE ON A CALENDAR? Did you ever think about doing two calendars...one for the cheaters and one for the honest people? LOL

Not sure what Paige had in mind for the calendar production, but one potential solution is to select 10 entries and leave two custom inserts for the purchasers own photos. That should do away with the ballot box stuffing and put on peoples doorstep a custom calendar that includes their cat.

What is going to keep the same people from cheating again...TO BE INCLUDED IN THE TEN THAT ARE IN THE CALENDAR? Everyone should not be punished for someone else's misdeeds. If you know who cheated...send them the calendar with two blank pages and let them add their own photos...their pictures should not even be in the contest. As a teacher...I would not punish all my students for the action of a few. I am sorry, but there are no children here...so don't treat someone who cheats like an innocent child. Just my HO.
