Shelby, I don't have a clue who cheated and they have already subjected everyone to their misdeeds. It's also not punishment for all involved, just a surefire way to have own their photos included or simply have a standard version of the calendar delivered to them. That has added value for everyone whether or not they cheated.

I totally agree that there aren't children here and I called the cheaters out for their indiscretions. I also know that you can spend a lot of time focusing on problems and totally neglect spending time to come up with a solution. It happens every day at work at my office and I'm sure other's workplaces. Figure out a solution and you protect the innocent while also placing roadblocks for the indiscretions of a few.

Anyway, have at it, beat the hell out of the cheaters and leave Paige to come up with a solution on her own.

There is one more reason this might have happened? Some photo contests I have seen...allow people to vote once a day until the contest is over. Just curious as to whether the illegal votes came in on a daily basis. If so...maybe someone did not take the time to read the rules..or....did not understand? GIVING THE BENEFIT OF THIS JUST BEING A MISTAKE ..INSTEAD OF INTENTIONAL;>) I hope this is what actually happened.

hey everyone...figured I would answer all posts in one ;)

The contest rules specifically state vote ONE time each for 15 of your favorite photos...not 7 times for a photo and 10 times for a photo...

I pretty much know the cheaters and we are deciding what to do about it...

I know sometimes I probably seem too cautious and too rigid, but because of the savannah breed bans and restrictions all over this country and the world, I am vigilant and as careful as possible as to who joins this forum. If I wasn't, there would already be 5000 members, many of them scammers or BYB...and that is not to say that BYB don't sometimes slip in...they do and have been caught and removed...but not until some damage has been done to others.

Unfortunately we need to watch what we say sometimes about out beloved breed because of the eyes watching us...that is just the way it is unfortunately. This is a public forum and as such, non-members can read some of the forums...not all...and the member list is safe from the public eye as well as other more sensitive forums...

It is my job as owner of this forum, to keep its integrity intact and people safe from scammers, BYB and AR...am I perfect? Not on your life..sometimes I step on toes, people get mad at me, people who don't know me, don't like me - that's life...I accept it...part of being an owner/admin, I suppose.

This vigilance is NOT going to change...maybe I take my job too seriously, but that's who I am...as a NICU RN I was the same way and as a Peds ER RN I was the same way...taking my job very seriously...NEVER going out at night before work the next day because human lives were in my hands...

There is no member of this forum I dislike - everyone has a different personality and opinion and passion...and sometimes we all say things the wrong way and need to remember to cut each other some slack...me included.

And yes, some of us were friends when I started this forum...we don't live in a vacuum...all the breeders know each other...new friendships have formed, old ones may splinter, but that is also life...people's feelings get hurt, people argue...but we are all really here for one reason - our love of the savannah cat and that is what is most important.

I have been on other forums where it is much less strict and all hell breaks loose all the time...that is NOT what we are about.

So let's move on, the mods and I will figure out what to do about the contest...it will NOT be ruined for everyone - that I promise.

Thanks Paige!

What you do is definitely appreciated in this corner as well as many others. I appreciate you taking those tiny arrows to keep this a stable place to share information, laughs and of course the love of our cats. No way I would want that responsibility with all that life piles on me in my daily routine, and again thanks for keeping the forum out of the muck.
