Picking a kitten?

I have to agree with all of the above - many times you will just know once you are able to see the kittens - even in pics this happens. However, you can certainly ask the breeder for pics of the previous litter when they were kittens, nothing wrong with that at all, that way you might be able to gauge how these little ones will turn out.

For my very first Savannah I waited almost a year for the F1 litter to be born from the pairing I wanted. There were five kittens in the litter. As soon as I saw the pic of the wee ones my heart skipped a beat when I saw 'the one'. I said an expletive and asked my son (12 years old at the time) to pick - he chose the same kitten. At that point I knew it was the one. Problem was, it was a girl and all I was looking for was a pet... and so began my adventure delving into the realm of breeding...

I agree, too. I too, describe that moment when you see "your" kitten as your heart skipping a beat.

You will know in your heart when a kitten is meant to be yours :)

I knew Zeddie was mine when I saw her first picture at 10 days old I believe. I never got to meet her (until I picked her up) but I knew she was the one

Eddies

Eddies a ham!
Eddie was that special one for me, I saw his fat tail:roflmao:...& had to have it. Now he is my alarm clock, for waking @ 2am, for getting midnight snacks, for just yowling at me occasionally....you say you have pick of the litter but if you're not liking that litter ask about the next one...

I will probably go ahead and pick one out at 4 weeks old so I don't hold the breeder up. I know they already have deposits behind me. I have seen the cats from the previous litter but not them as kittens so I don't know how much that will help. It will just have to be a hard decision for me! Any more advice on picking is greatly appreciated.
Your breeder should be able to find you pics of those previous litter as kittens to match to the adult pics you have seen...

But likely when you meet the kittens one will tug at your heart and make the decision easy :)

I knew my girl from pictures over the Internet! If that new little kitten soul finds you, no matter how, you'll just know.
