She gets away with it because some people are blinded by the "bargain" the kittens appear to be as they are mis-marketed as F2 and Savannah without disclosure that they are F2 Chausies with a Savannah outcross...and are more F7 Savannahs if you follow the Serval in their heritage. By not giving a pedigree they maintain the lie.

I've met them and in person they seem sweet and nice... but in practice they are amoral.

Danielle, best if you just chalk this up to a bad mistake and let go. Getting mad at Taran is useless and why bother adding stress to your life over something you can't control.

I would be honored to send a check to your vet for the cost of the test if you are strapped financially. You can send me a private message if you are a sponsoring member ($20 fee) and we can work out the details. If you cannot afford the $20, say so here and I'll sponsor you.

OK here's the update. Puma was put on a few more meds but he didnt get better. I took him to Taran who said she would keep him for 4-5 days and give him some shot. He did not get the shot and her husband said that he wasn't sick in their home. He offered to replace my cat with another as if it were a piece of furniture. I told him that I just wanted them to see his behavior and sickness. I got him back and he was still sick. I gave it another week in which Puma chewed and scratched both my arms to the point of permanent scarring. He seemed sicker. He was now sneezing coughing I guess and had discharge in his nose. I told Taran that I could not keep him. Even today when returning him, he tore open an already painful scratch. I gave him to her and her continued his violent behavior on her. She is almost 9 months pregnant but she insisted they were going to keep him because he isn't sick and they like his behavior. I was given full refund. I cried the whole time and still am. I feel like I let him down. They said when he was th here for those 4-5 days he cried for me all the time. I love the breed of cat but I don't think it's a good fit for me. I don't want a wild cat. I want a beautiful, energetic, but affectionate cat.

I guess it is possible that he has allergies to something in your apartment? But I don't necessarily believe that he was fine in their home and that they just refused to admit it. I'm glad that you got a refund but of course am sad for Puma :-(

No, you would not be expecting a "wild" cat, a Savannah nor a Chausie is anything but a high energy domestic cat breed.
