Patience, pancreatitits makes humans feel horrible. Cats most likely have similar effects. Given time Cisco should slowly come around. As I wouldn't wish this on anyone, it has a better prognosis than lymphoma.

Yes, RD, this is so true!!! And since all his organs are inflamed including his liver, he must feel terrible.

A feeding tube will probably be the best thing to do if he continues to fight syringe feeding, alhtough he may begin eating once he feels better...

Poor Cisco...he is a sweet boy who never bothers anyone, doesn't fight with the others ever and loves the kittens...I hope he is feeling better soon!

Once the meds kick in and the pain and cramping resolves, he'll get his appetite back. The feeding tube may be the ticket to allowing his poor beleaguered intestines & pancreas to calm down. You'll know if it's the right thing to do if he starts smackin' that syringe out of the vets' hands.;)

I agree Deborah...we shall see how it goes...I feel like I am back to work as a nurse, but I don't mind...at least he does not have lymphoma!

I am getting in late on this conversation but hoping he will turn around. My old dog got gastroenteritis and I thought she was not long for this world and she has been recovered for about 5 months with no relapse. She is too old to go though that again! I hope he makes a full recovery in time. :)
