Awww, John, it must have been so difficult! Losing that many cats in such a short period of time is devastating, but glad you and Trish have Dino! He is a beautiful kitten inside and out and I'm sure he will enrich your lives in a way only an F1 can...

I'm sure there are many moments each day that remind you of your lost babies, but I know that Dino will help your hearts heal and remember only the good times.

I can only imagine the pain of picking up the remains. I waited 6 months after my Aziza died and then had to ask my husband to go pick them up as I simply couldn't do it. Silly, but there is something more final and difficult about taking their ashes into your hands.

I am sure Dino's kitten exuberance helps distract some... he can't ever fill their places but he can add to your lives and bring new joy.

Thanks Brigitte.

It was especially tough as not only did I have the the boxes for the cats lost in the fire, but the other two who had their boxes replaced because of smoke and soot damage. It's those moments that catch up with me now and again, just glad I had Dino as my copilot.

I know that when Kash's ashes arrived, we didn't open the box for almost a year. Steve put the box containing the urn deep in a drawer until we had healed enough. And this cat died of old age at 20 - so nothing as traumatic as losing your the way you did. Hugs.

John, I am so sorry.
No matter how young or old they are when we lose them, we never stop missing them.
I am so glad you have Dino with you now, and I would like to think Chongo and Monte and our other two babies are out there sending him instructions to give you lots of love, lots of head buts, and get into lots of trouble.
