Purchasing an older cat

Yes, Brigitte, she seems pretty comfy! The final Tisa report--I got a lot more affection from here on first meet than on the remainder of my visits, but she took treats from my hand (drooling all over me of course), and she "conversed" with me when I was in the room. She spent a lot of time near me, and occasionally bumped up against me. She's actually a lot more friendly than I anticipated. I don't foresee a lapcat, LOL.... but I think I'll get headbutts from her someday. :)

ETA: she's huge. No way is she 11 lbs. She is TALL and leggy and she really looks to be 15+ lbs; my mom says she's put on weight since she's been there.

Tisa sounds like she is doing very well and settled in nicely at your mom's home...she will be staying there, right?

With many visits from you (and headbutts from her), of course :)

The plan is for her to move into my house when I get back to Michigan; my mom will stay at the house for a while to make sure she's OK. If things don't work, she'll go back to mom's, but the ultimate goal is to have her with me. She's been surprisingly easy going for an older F1, so I'm optimistic. I'm also realistic, though, so recognize it might not go as I'm hoping.

Mega Tisa update: tonight, for the first time, she jumped into my mom's lap. Several times, in fact. And rubbed, rubbed, rubbed all over her.

:)
