Rafiki not eating

Managed to get her to eat approximately another ounce of food between treats, raw and pureed cooked chicken. Overall, she ate a bit over 3 oz as compared to her normal 4 oz of dinner. I will sleep better tonight!

She WILL get back to normal soon, Linda. She is just a little out of balance, energy wise. Kilifi has dropped a few ounces in the past few days too. Must be a little disturbance in the Kitty Force. ;)

I let her chew on a toothbrush before going to bed and could not see anything abnormal. I cant be sure, she definitely doesn't open wide and say ahhh when we do this.

I just heard back from Darwin. Apparently they changed their cat food formulations. So now I am wondering if that is it or if she is sick.

This was always the bane of my existence when I fed commercially prepared raw. They just willy nilly change the formula with no care for whether the change makes it less palatable. I'm not off the hook with whole prey either. Every time rodentpro changes the formula of their feed, my cats notice and often will stop eating the prey. This just happened last week, after I ordered 350 chickens. I have chickens coming out my a$$ and the cats just look at me like "whaaat is that"

Wow! Mine are still eating the chicks from RodentPro... Did you ask them what they changed?

As for darwin's....any idea what they changed?

No. They did not offer details. I did find that the color was darker (more organ meat? more liver?) and it seems more liquidy. It smelled "good" and arrived completely frozen so I didnt think much of it when I switched over on Sunday.

OK....other than your a$$, where on earth do you store 350 chickens? Do you have a walk in meat locker?!

I wish. I have a chest freezer and a small upright and a freezer in a fridge in the garage and 1/2 of the frig freezer in the house. Rodentpro was having a sale so I went a bit crazy ordering rodents and chickens.
