I agree...and it is the only canned food he will eat...I am slowly getting him to eat Feline's pride, though, so I'm happy about that, since it is probably better for his IBD...

It's a nice quality food at a fair price IMO. I've seen worse ingredient lists on much fancier foods. If folks read the labels on some brands that are perceived to be the "better foods" I think most people would be SHOCKED to see that they are no better than Friskies or Cat Chow! I think they make paper from the same ingredients found in the cheap walmart stuff. LOL
So am I feeding all this expensive food for nothing then? LOL
I feed Dash the highest protein, lowest fruits I can find with no grain. He won't eat raw! I've tried various brands.

Well you need to do what works for the cats health and your budget. :) I think it's a nicely balanced food, better than RC and less costly. They send kitten kits with coupons for customers and little pouches that are perfect for taping on the top of carriers when kittens go to their new homes. They also have a points program. All in all, I'm pleased with the food and their support programs.

I think I may need to try Proplan! Have been thinking about maybe switching to raw or trying a new food. The RC is so expensive (kitten canned)...it never goes on sale! I am looking through all these posts to see what is being fed for raw also. Not sure if I want to do that or not but have been giving it some thought. Thanks for heads up on Proplan.

I am using proplan, but Zuri cannot tolerate raw right now...I usually use Feline's Pride when I want something easy, but...she vomits it now, so she is getting RC kitten food and weruva and proplan - a smorgasbord. I was feeding her wellness kitten but after a day, she decided she no longer like it...she has about 3.5 weeks...can't be soon enough for me ;)

I have been feeding Tink and my other 2 dsh Fancy Feast Elegant Medleys. They get 1 can to share on 2 plates. After the broth, the first ingredient is either chicken, turkey or tuna. It actually looks pretty good and they gobble it down in about 4 minutes. They also have Good Life dry food in an automatic feeder and eat 1 small bag each week. Sue

I've used RC Baby Cat for weaning. It is coated with fat and the kittens usually love it. It sounds gross, but weaning is a tricky subject at times, so you do what works. HOWEVER_ the raw has worked even better. I really like how easily the kittens transitioned to raw!

They DO love raw for sure! The issue we have is that they actually turn in to little monsters at "raw time" and behave as if they haven't eaten in a week. :)

I usually start putting out raw when they are around five weeks old. Most won't eat it at that time, but mom will and they quickly learn that mom knows best :)

OK - thank you...my concern is that most pet owners will not feed raw, but I will see what happens...
