I'm just new here, but like F/3, I go to other forums. On one I chose to become a premium member. They have advertisers, but the banner is limited and the advertisers all of their own forums too. I don't think banners like those are very distracting. It is pretty nice site overall.

Here's the link to their agreement: http://www.reefcentral.com/index.php/premium-membership. Very similiar and if you support, you get a icon that you support Reef Central on your posts so premium members know who else is a premium member.

I don't think it would be good to lock down to only premium membership. For people like me, I don't think I would pay without seeing what is on the site. So, the option of premium members seems to help that more.

Nothing wrong with other boards, but from what I've read and seen here, It's pretty much one stop shopping. There's people here whose names I recognize from around 15 yrs ago, when I got my first F2. Point being, if you cant get an experienced answer or comment to queries here, you wont get it anywhere.
