I don't think there is a free program per se, but as of the last time I checked you could download a free trial of the Breeder's Assistant software.

I don't know about Mac OS, I remember years ago finding a webpage that if you just wanted a pedigree format you could enter all the info in and it did a pedigree, but you couldn't save it or anything. I found it via google I think...
