Savannah kitten behavior

Roomba. I gave in and bought one a few weeks ago. Does a great job.

Unfortunately, my house is built into the side of a hill so I have 4 separate levels. My Roomba committed suicide.

Didn't you have those little tower thingies that you use to control where the roomba goes? It allows you to keep it confined in whichever space you choose.

Yes I did but apparently not enough. And even on my main floor (kitchen/living room), there is a small drop. The thick wool area rugs were another issue. So even when it was working, it would get stuck. It unfortunately was not suited for this type of house.

My friend Mary has an F4 little girl named Athena. Its been determined by several people that Athena has feral in her. She may have been bred well, and healthy but cannot seem to get her socialized at all. Athena is afraid of Mary in everyway. Mary did everything right with Athena from the little room with all her special things, food, water, cat trees, litter, everything. But Athena has no social skills. The vet works with ferals, and Athena's behaviour is that of a feral. She has had her since she was 4 months old and is now 7 months, or a little over. I joined as Im awaiting a litter for a savannah for myself, and Mary and I started chatting, and she asked me to ask some questions. I feel very sad for Mary as she is a lovely woman with a lovely family. There are no young children or other pets and she is trying to seek help from wherever she can.
She is lodging a formal complaint against TICA, as there are rules that have to be followed and there has been a couple of rules broken. The breeder also wants to take no responsibility for Athenas issues. Eddie any advice you can give? She is also afraid of everyone else in the family, not just Mary. There isnt a part of Athena's body than can be touched.

Which rules does Mary believe have been broken by this breeder? TICA doesn't dictate a breeder's methods of breeding or rearing kittens, nor does it become involved in personal disputes between breeders and customers, so unfortunately I'm not sure that Mary will get very far lodging a complaint with TICA.

This is not being lodged as part of a personal dispute. However breeders are held accountable for some issues regarding their breeding of kittens. IF they were not held accountable for anything then TICA is basically useless. There are guidelines and such breeders have to follow, otherwise we can all become breeders. There are wonderful breeders out there, and this site probably has the majority. Breeders that care about their kittens from breeding on. Sadly not all are like that and unless someone takes a stand, then breeders will never be accountable for anything. This is not personal. I dont want nor does Mary want anyone to get offended or defensive by the questions. Its just advise she is seeking. What she decides to do will be her decision and she has not taken this decision lightly.

TICA is a genetic registry - that is about it...not sure where you are located, but your regional director is the person who can help you, if he/she can...

There is no such thing as 'feral' in a kitten. A kitten is either feral which means it was untouched by humans or exposed to humans during its formative stages and a feral kitten is really really something to behold or it's unsocialized-- which is not the same as feral. Unsocialized would mean exposed to people but not handled/loved on/touched/kissed/cuddled throughout its formative stages. I would bet this kitten was unsocialized from the description and there's a lot of good advice throughout the site in regard to this issue.

Feral like behaviour is what I meant I guess. General fear of humans, touch, not socialized, scared of everything and everyone. The kitten is so afraid of touch that she shakes at the mere sight of it, and will attempt to hurt Mary even if she tries to get close. She sends her thanks for all the opinions and help.
