While this is somewhat stalled with the loss of my computer, I hope to reassemble the data soon. Shouldn't be that tough of a task, just hoping there is enough data to identify the outliers.

Did I mention Mojo from Trish came in at 18 pounds? He is an F6 SBT, I think I did that right.... he's gorgeous & camera shy! He is a 3 year old that prefers the pillow under my chair to my lap but will come right in my face when it's SNACK O'CLOCK...I've tried to measure how tall he is but he won't stand still, grabs the tape! He's been to the vet twice, hissing & growling....no biting though!

Did I mention Mojo from Trish came in at 18 pounds? He is an F6 SBT, I think I did that right.... he's gorgeous & camera shy! I keep wondering how other folks are able to measure their SVs......do they sleep soundly? are they drugged? or do they actually behave and sit still long enough for measurements?!

I get a weight on mine by stepping onto the scale with them or having the vet put them on a scale, but I don't think I've got anything near accurate measurements of size. Would kind of love to know though

Oh the look on my vet's face when I asked her to measure Rafiki! Something about trying to measure the Tasmanian Devil in action.

The art of distraction. Figure out if your cat is motivated by food or toys, in some rare cases it may be sex or money. Whatever the motivator is place it in left hand with a firm grip while using the other to collect measurements. Best to keep drugs away from your SV and use them to help with ailments or recreational purposes.

Most of my f6 boys end up pretty big. Most have their dad's big butt too :/

Pure dumb luck on my part. Every now and then one of them stops and stands still for a few minutes and I run for the measuring tape. I can get body length measured much easier than height.
