I wouldn't sweat it Paige. Even with Razi, aka the big outlier, the median sized SV is 13.5lbs thus far and the standard deviation is 7.4lbs. Statistically that would suggest that 68% of SVs are between 6 and 21lbs which isn't statistically relevant and doesn't pass the laugh test with a very small sample size thus far.

Do they still gain much weight after the age of 2 ?

Because you ask age 3+.

I don't really know how long they are growing but i assume they do the most untill the age of 1.
then a bit from 1 to 2. And from 2 to 3 years they grow very little to nothing.

I don't have anything to base this on, i don't even know from where i got it.
But i would like to know if this is somehow correct or not.

Their bone structure can grow for approximately two years and in the third year they will put on muscle weight and fill out. Of course not all are the same and the majority of their growth generally happens in the first year.

For the purposes of trying to find standard deviations for generations and overall, it's important to have cats that have reached their adult weight. Although some cats may be overweight in their adult lives, I believe that's part of the process. With the tiny amount of data I currently have, it looks like later generations become more predictable in their weight range, while the deviation in earlier generations can be all over the place. Unearthing that the majority of SVs weigh between 6 and 21lbs doesn't tell much of a story, so I definitely need more samples.

Thanks, I'll get them entered in. Hopefully by the weekend I'll have enough data to get at least a couple statistically relevant observations. Probably not different than anything anyones heard, but data to back it up.
