I actually think my F3 is going to stay a bitty little thing. She was growing like crazy for the first few months, but really has slowed down. She is 7months and just shy of 7lbs. Totally has the Savannah build though, with long legs and lean, long body, just very tiny over all. (Which is fine... we werent going for "size" we had a big cat in our F1, so were just aiming for personality this time around and we most definitely got that!)

Do we have any results? Is 100g gain a week (he will be six months next week) sufficient? He was gaining about 200g and now much less, is this going to slow down now?

As a rule, kittens tend to put on about a pound a month, so a kitten gaining 200g in a week is good, and 100g is probably low-average. Kittens will start slowing down after 5-6 months but they should continue to grow until they are about a year or so. The earlier generation (F1, F2) Savannahs sometimes grow until they are two years old.

My girl is finally old enough for this! I've only been waiting for two years!

Would love to see the spreadsheet or a chart of the results!
(Can we at least have a screenshot or something? Lol)

I'll work on it over the weekend. I'm locked down as I'm sick and last go around I really didn't have enough data to pass the laugh test.

Aww, that's too bad. I figured after 2 years there would be more collected. But I suppose it's just one of those things.

Feel better!

Males, females, lots of generations, a handful of outliers to derail a small sample size and a 70% confidence range can be pretty broad. In large part this is about managing size expectations and fortunately the community has done a pretty decent job of educating new owners. Just the same, I’ll post what I can this weekend.
