I have an F2B male that's is 9 months old. He currently weights around 13.5 pounds. I have read that Savannah's will continue to grow up to age 2. How true is this? How much larger could he get in the next year?

The vast majority of growth occurs during the first year, but you may see some continued 'vertical expansion' during the second year, and some filling out during the third year.

It can happen but definitely the majority of the growth is in the first year. Rafiki turned 2 in February and went thru a growth spurt in June where she ate everything in sight and gained another lb. She did not fatten up or fill out, she grew in length.

I did a measurement around the chest of Dooley and Dino so I could stop scratching my head as to why Dooley is so much heavier than Dino. Dino definitely seems to be longer and in most cases taller, but without being fat at all. Dooley continues to weigh 50% more than his brother at I believe 11 months and is now over 20lbs (he really doesn't like to be held for long, so hard to weigh him).

Anyway, Dino around the chest measures 15" and Dooley a whopping 19" around. While that 4" may not seem like a lot, Dooley's chest represents about 60% more area than Dino's chest.

Funny, I remember Deborah suggesting that Atticus looked like a Savannah/Dachshund for a time, before he hit his teen years and started stretching out. I'm sure the same is in store for Dooley, if not he'll just look like a barrel chested bull dog with spots.
