Scam or just incompetent backyard breeder??

I wish that I lived closer to New Orleans. This scammer would probably have a heart attack if someone said that they would pick them up rather than ship them. Sue

Should I reply that my husband will be in the New Orleans Naval Air Station this week & just have him pick them up so we don't have to go through the expense of having them shipped?

Lol Ashley! I did the same thing - email the ad! And I got the same response. (I had emailed a bunch of questions, but "she" didn't answer any of them.)

What I loved were the photos - clearly not the same animals as in the original ad. One of the kittens - supposedly the female - looked like a Bengal complete with leopard-like rosettes. The male looked like a spotted kitten - Bengal? Savannah? - but clearly a domestic cat kitten, not at all the Serval face from the original photo.

I think I'm going to email back and express disappointment that the new photos don't look like the original one. And maybe also state that I'm Jewish since she asks if I'm a Christian.

I'm actually a little relieved that it's just a scammer and not an epically incompetent backyard breeder!

Welcome!!! This is not unusual and actually all savannahs, bengals, hybrids are illegal in Brooklyn, so I wonder if the authorities would be interested in this ad - scammer or not...

Have some fun! Tell them you will go one better. Tell them your husband will be in New Orleans at a police convention and will pick them in up in person on the way home! What better assurance they are going to a good home than to meet your husband!
On another note, I wouldn't speak up about the picture mismatch. That only helps them with the next scam. And funny how this was surprisingly close to another scam letter just last week. (The one with the daughter passing away in a car crash in Alaska.) Let them learn the hard way!

Mind what you put in your replies, there is a lot of info that seems innocuous but actually gives away some habits, also on computer: opening your home and machine to attack.
