FYI.....any snow Savannah entered into a TICA show in the New Traits class must be at least an F4SBT or lower (F5SBT, F6SBT, etc) and registered by TICA as such. SBT denotes Stud Book Tradition, and cats with this code are 4 or more generations removed from the serval; every parent, grandparent and great-grandparents are Savannahs.

A snow Savannah that is at least an F4...either A, B, C or SBT...can also be shown in the Household Pet Class division at shows, but must be altered and registered as a Household Pet. The Household Pet Class will not help advance the acceptance of snow Savannahs into being a recognized standard Savannah color, however. This class is for cats and kittens of undetermined breed or for purebred cats that don't otherwise qualify for the regular breed classes.

Unique color. Is it possible to receive the F1 savannah of same color?

Miš is getting big. He loves his food. Growls when eating (and when he plays with a particular toy) regardless if he is alone or others are nearby. Otherworlds he has been a sweet cuddle bug.....except the last two weeks. We've had him on antibiotics for abdominal gastrointestinal issues (after much testing) and is on a special diet. Suddenly new cat. More playful. Less tired. We love it. But, he is also more agressive in his play. His claws are coming out. He used to only use those when playing with the other cat. Never with us. He is attacking our feet when we walk by (well, my husband and kids, not mine). The kids are a little frightened. Hoping this is a phase?
I've got the scratching posts etc. I used to be able to play with his paws and trimming his nails was super easy. Just me, him lazy on the bed, and done in under two minutes. Last two weeks, he fights for his life! And we've not had problems before. I'm not trimming too far. He won't even let me play with his paws when clippers are away (which I did all the time to condition him, did when I held him, petted, etc, without issue, purring would continue etc. the last two weeks he is different, good in some ways (healthier), bad in others, his aggression.

Sorry for babble...its late

Thoughts?

You would need snow serval and domestic homozygous for light colourations, that carried point pattern perhaps. Unlikely though, as breeders would not invest in that mating ....YET

could someone tell me how snow savannahs are produced? what color pairing produces the snow? Just curious about the genetics involved in coloration and coat patterns. Thanks!

My Miš and Nevolja. He is much bigger now. She is almost 7 months, he is 9 months. Looks like she will stay small despite her being F4 (her F3 mother was quite large) and his being F5. He has a lot more girth than she does. His spots are much darker now than they were as a kitten. She is slim and long. He is just big everywhere. Her spots and stripes don't show unless she is in natural light. Everyone who sees Miš just loves his unique look. image.jpg image.jpg
This is our F5 Lynx Point Snow Savannah. His spots are not shown in this picture but he has penny spots all along his body and tummy, with the stripe colouration on his points. He is still a kitten here, and will likely darken further. His future girlfriend is black spotted Melanistic F4. View attachment 17136
