that is just sooooo awesome...I really am trying to talk my hubby into this...maybe not all over the house, but a few rooms that the cats are usually hanging out in...

I know know why I NEED a cat walk in this house! In all the years I have had cats; I have NEVER had one jump on top of a ceiling fan.......until this morning, of course. Little Miss Shyla decided to take a leap from a bookcase across the room; with cathedral ceilings (so the fan is quite high); onto our huge leaf blade ceiling fan! It wasn't on; but if it had been she probably wouldn't have tried(maybe). She scared the crap out of herself and me, because as she landed; of course the fan spun......then she jumped off in a hurry, hit the wall and knocked off the clock; in which was very high on the wall....needless to say, she's ok...but I spent the morning picking glass shards off of the floor and couch.....Thanks Shyla! I think we need a cat walk sooner than later, now.:cat:

Ok, my new roommate and I just had a long discussion this morning...most of it centered around plans for a catwalk! She wants to get mexican blankets to cover the ikea shelves we're gonna go shopping for, but I have so many carpet remnants around here that we can do it all in berber lol

Funny, she came only temporarily, saying she couldn't take living with cats (with all these plans to keep them off her stuff and out of the guest room-hah, I said!), but to be honest I think they love her more than me lol

Wow, Michelle, that's pretty daring of Shyla! You must have been scared - I would have been! And your poor clock :(

LOL! Sounds like she is becoming a cat lover???

You may want to use her idea for a couple of the shelves...berber is great, but they may want something softer to snooze on - just a thought!

I know Paige! I could not believe that she even tried! It's kinda funny though, because I was just talking about this the other day to my oldest daughter; because we kept noticing Shyla "eyeballing" the fan. I just really didn't think she'd attempt it! We have fans in all the rooms; which are all lower ceilings than the one in the living room; and she's never even looked at them....but then again, most of them are usually on low, just for air circulation...And the big one is usually on, but my youngest lil girl Krystal likes to mess with the switches(which she can reach, cuz they are right above the couch, unfortunately), so it is on sometimes and off sometimes....but I REALLY didn't think this little nutball would try it anyway! I'm just glad she's ok, and me too, considering I almost had a heart attack!! And my poor clock...lol Well at least it still works, minus the glass on it! :)
