Soft lumps on surface of skin

There's a picture of the lump on the start of this thread....it's on the head. He does have a few also in different areas on him too...some are a little bigger or smaller.
I don't know... I've not seen them in cats to know what they really look/feel like :-(

I'm going to get it checked out anyway...if this vet in town can't do anything, I guess I'll have to head out to this Specialty animal hospital near Chicago.....Thanks again for helping out with some info...

Hey wait sec, Diane. I've been mulling over this thread for a couple of days before I realized you are exactly describing the top of Rascal's and Mayhem's heads. They both have the same spot at the same place on their heads. Seemed to have developed at a couple of years of age. The vet looked at it and said don't worry about it. I've tossed the idea around it's a little scar from a cat scratch. Neither of the lumps are getting worse over the years.
We have the same breeder. Do you mind sharing the parentage of your kitty?

Hi Mike, thanks for responding...Newton does have a few more on him, not alot though. Some are a little bigger and smaller. He has a smaller lump half that size above his eye also, it is white in color. He has a small oval shape one on his back leg too. They are all above the skin also. He has had these for a few years, maybe more..haven't noticed them right away. If they were cancer, I don't think Newton would be here today! His parents..... his mom named Stretch, F2 savannah and his dad named Jaden, Bengal. I guess that's why Newton has small ears and long legs...he looks like a long leg Bengal...
has rosetted spots too! That's all I know of the parentage. Maybe Holly or Dale can tell us more about these lumps. I can PM you my phone numbers if you ever want to call...since we have the same lumpy kitties!
Would be interesting if the cats are related and they all have these lumps... very curious to see what develops here!
As to your description of Newton as a long-legged Bengal... we often said that in the early days of the breed, that when you used Bengal as an outcross what you mostly got was either a big-eared Bengal or a long-legged one! My first SV was a SV-BG cross and he really exemplified this...he was a gorgeous cat, just not exactly what we describe in our breed standard. He was though the cat that got us obsessed with the breed and started me on the slippery slope of breeding them

I know Bridgette, I wonder also if any more lump cases have happened. Newton is a beautiful cat though with the rosetted spots and a big boy too. When I take him to the vet or anywhere there is some that are afraid of him, but there are people that really make over him too. It was kind of funny at the vets last year, when I walked in the building some people got scared of him and said, oh that's a wild animal and they should be banned, and then comes in this huge 200lb Bull Mastiff dog and everyone goes over and pets it!
